You Need Leadership

When leadership has become a symbol of status or achievement, as it has in many people's eyes, we desire to be leader ourselves. But the christian faith speaks a very different message: You need leadership. It is for your good. The risen christ has appointed human leaders in submission to him in local congregations precious as the priesthood of all believers is and it is precious. We love self and we long for self rule. Couple that with our generation's distorted sense of what leadership is.
