Sally Kohn: One of the things that I'm very passionate about is the fact that we tend to have almost like monocultures. So in my discipline of history, it is just sort of assumed that writing about history is the best way to communicate knowledge. That's just not true, right? She says she design un-assay activities where her students make things that show me what they have learned rather than just writing another academic paper.Kohn: And then when it comes to grading, I am someone who ungrades. My students are the ones who decide what their grade is every term.
