Introduction

The National Anti-Corruption Commission has been opened by its brand new commissioner, Paul Broughton. Between opening on Saturday and Monday morning, it had already received 44 referrals for investigation. The way the NACC has been designed could mean it struggles to meet the public's expectations that it really can clean up camera. Today, senior lawyer at the Human Rights Law Centre, Kieran Pender, on why the NACC wasn't designed to protect whistleblowers.
