German as a Foreign Language

I was moved to Germany to Heidelberg when I was seven in early seventy four. So the gaster by two children were angershort in that first year along with me. And we can honestly say that yeah, German schools were not ready for us. Well, there wasn't much of a concept of teaching German as a foreign language. It was kind of astonishing. so it was a really formative experience of linguistic dysphoria.
