CHAPTER

The Importance of Asymmetry in the Workout

My hips open differently when I squat and deadlift. My torso twists slightly to keep me in balance. Also my elbows have a 15 to 20 degrees difference in their carrying angle as well. It affects my press, bench press, my deadlift because it seems to increase the moment arm to lean the shoulder and the wrist. If you've got a tibial torsion, then your stance is going to fix that. And the correction you make on the stance is to level the stress on the pelvis so that the pelvis stays straight all the way down and all the way up.
