The Importance of Food in Immigrant Stories

In South Asian communities food is considered like a big show of love and affection to the point where if I go to someone's house and I say oh yeah don't worry I'm not staying for dinner they'll get offended. So in situations like these where there's a real language barrier food becomes even more important because it's the only like only sort of road that's left. To me from the beginning telling that story meant telling it through food, which was definitely what inspired men buffer.
