The Absurdity of Animal Farm

The writer george orwell noticed a similar absurdity 80 years ago during the second world war. His novel animal farm puts these classic nonsense images to serious work when it imagines pigs and horses and cows taking over a farm. It's the absurdity, i think, which made this satirical take on soviet russia iconic. The truth of a situation often only becomes clear when it is represented in absurd terms like this.
