The Role of Race in the Treatment of Addiction

In the 80s, crack was seen as a problem for black and Latino people in America's get-ups. It wasn't seen as something that the entire nation was actually struggling with. Because crack was often sold in black and Latino neighborhoods, our neighborhoods became sites for the epidemic. Today, when we're looking at something like the opioid epidemic, you see a completely different approach by both the media and the average person.
