The Challenges of IVF
Even though Gabrielle's still grieving, she wants to get pregnant again immediately. Since she's over 40, her doctor recommends going straight for in vitro fertilization. IVF can be great, but it comes with a laundry list of challenges. There are hormone injections that can lead to debilitating fatigue and extreme mood swings. On top of all that pressure, Gabrielle's also been worrying for her step-kids. She's terrified about keeping them safe in an overwhelmingly racist country.
