What Does This Mean for the Federal Reserve and for Interest Rates?
A number of regional banks sustained heavy losses in trading today. The Federal Reserve is typically focused on jobs and inflation. But with that said, the stress that we're seeing in the financial system tied to Silicon Valley Bank will be factored into this decision. It really will come down though to tomorrow's CPI report,. economists say it does leave the room open for another rate hike at that March 22 meeting.
