The Importance of Synchronization in Loom
Loom was designed to work with Tomcat, which has a thread pool of say 200 threads. Loom can only handle four cores for variables and four pieces of data - that's an in Tomcat. It syncs your holding synchronized blocks that are there, you're in for a long period of time. That's where the problem will be. What you really want to avoid with Loom is you do not want to be doing blocking IO within a synchronized block. If you do that, you will not see the benefits you want to get from Loom.
