The Story of Volunteers in Bangkok
It really grew out of the first story where we see them as children and this kind of informal family, which does exist for a lot of Thai kids who are from like the slum or very poor families. And there's an expectation that when they grow out, they're going to pay back into something. It felt disingenuous necessarily to kind of give them success when Bangkok is also hugely unequal. They've always been strivers and they've sort of been held down by the system. So instead it was, you know, they've tried everything else. Tintin, for example, has tried betting on fighting chickens - he's gone through all these stages.
