The Doorman's Message to Alexandre and Bonfois

The doorman heard some faint sawing sounds coming from the fifth floor. Alexandre and bonfois were busy carving out a small, narrow hole in the floor board de planche to reach the apartment below. Once they had lowered the umbrella into the jeweller's apartment, they secured the handle to the foor boards and opened it. Now the umbrella was positioned to catch any debris that fell from the ceiling.
