What Does the Word Beltan Mean?
Etymology of the word beltan is not completely certain, but most sources will say that it has to do with brightness. Bell's name is also associated with the plant hen bane, which is a baneful herb and common ingredient for witches flying ointments. This plant was valued by the germanic shawman for its ability to call the rain. And both the norse cyruses, the vulva and the or s of delphi prized this plant for Its ability to bring forth visions, but also, in larger doses, death.
