As an adorbs little gay child growing up in rural South Carolina, I have like an idea of you like sitting on the porch drinking your little sweet tea and oh my god, you're eating a frog in tone. How to do absorb it. That portrait is entirely correct. Now what I find now knowing that the author was gay, I cannot watch these new ones without seeing like serious like queer, like doing sophomore level college queer meetings of them. It's one of those early queer moments of recognition where it's not so much about like identity or even like the relationship but more just that seems lovely.
