The French National Anthem - La Marseilles

When the marseilles company arrived in paris, they came in singing it proudly. The song wound up etting called la marseilles - better known as the french national anthem. With the growing army at its command, the coordinating committee now began to wield more practical power than the official paris commune government. It wasn't long before the power of the committee began to rival the legislative assembly itself. Just before dawn on august tenth, 17 92, they set about seizing control of paris. And ordinating committee met in an all night session, at the end of which they declared themselves now to be the insurrectionary commune.
