There is a morbid distrust for the outside world, and that impacts what we think is appropriate to share with other people. And all that is an emotional boundary issue. There's a line in the book where you write, your home was effectively a perfect storm of covert communication and emotional disfunction which followed you as a young adult. You know, you're bound yo become protecting yourself, sarcasm, manipulating people, and eventually substance tus sertly cope with this.
