The Germans Used Nerve Agents During the Second World War

Nerve agents were discovered shortly before the second world war by a german scientist called shrader. He was looking for a more effective form of insecticide, and he started using different chemical compounds. The americans stopped publishing any information on their research after WWII. This led the germans to incorrectly assume that we knew all about nerve agents already.
