The Role of Critics in Religion Theology
Russell McCutcheon has a book critics not caretakers it's an interesting title i've always loved the title because this is a book about the the education of religion in america over time and how it changed. What he basically says is if you want to do religion theology in a public university or in the public sphere you need to be a critic rather than a caretaker. If we sort of turn it into Freudian meaning type stuff we can kind of get the seat back a little bit, writes David Frum.
