Academics should learn about know and think about knowledge on the ways that they demonstrate. We should try to figure out the practical projects that knowledge acquisition can fit into, rather than having these debates for debate's sake. The people who're producing knowledge should be thinking about this kind of thing rather than deference politics. But what it comes down to is what gets used and what's usable.
