The Importance of Visual Grandeur in Dune
The director of the most recent Dune movie, Dennis Villanueve, brought more visual grandeur to it. The reason why this story to me stuck out the most is the incredible way in which he describes that seeing time as this circle from beginning, middle and could actually work. If you knew that you were going to lose one of your children eventually, would you still make the decisions to have them in the first place just to experience them in your life? And so it's very heavy, but it's also beautiful and just such a powerful visitation of the idea of love and how it sort of transcends time.
