Thomas Midgley Jr.

Thomas midgley junior was born on may eighteenth, 18 89 in beaver falls, pennsylvania. His father had emigrated to the united states from england and spent most of his career working in the bicycle, automotive and rubber industries. Midgley's inventiveness showed itself really early on. He played baseball along with other sports. And when the spit ball started becoming more popular, he started trying to figure out the best possible substance to put on the ball. Eventually landed on an extract from the inner bark of the slippery elm tree.
