Is Criminal Prosecution the Right Response?
In a different context, in the context of our criminal justice system, everyday defendants going to court and receiving sort of outrageous sentences. In the context of policing, it's, well, how do we prevent this kind of thing? Yeah, exactly. You don't get this kind of violence, this kind of reckless disregard for traditional norms of policing unless you have a system where officers just simply don't expect to be held accountable on an ordinary basis. And so, you know, certainly it appears that criminal prosecution is warranted here.
