The Oldest Bone Projectile Point in the Americas
This person lived sometime between the sixth and eighth centuries. We don't know why she underwent trepanation two different times. Her skull also showed evidence of two large abscesses near her jaw, which could have caused an infection to spread to her brain. Researchers led by a professor from Texas A&M University have found what they believe is the oldest bone projectile point in the Americas.
