The Deputy PM, How Is She Going to Get on Top of the Detail?
Deputy PM will try and deal with head of NHS England operationally. Will attempt to understand it from a financial and operational point of view. She's possibly less likely to be trying to think blue sky policy thoughts, but she will ask more detailed questions. I would have thought that someone like Neil O'Brien, for example, will be given a reasonable amount of runway to look at social care because they've tried to put in people who are capable of thinking or delivering into the department.
