The Implications of Quantum Physics
There are philosophers and scientists who believe that all human action is ultimately determined by prior causes. No one has convincingly shown that specific human choices of the sort we normally think of as free actually have been causally determined, he says. But remember the free will problem isn't simply a problem about whether human choices actually are causally determined. It's also a problem about what the implications would be if they were causallyetermined.
