The Importance of Baptism in the Gnostic Church

Baptism is a universal symbol. The ritual of baptism symbolizes how through the waters, through the blessings of the waters, we can become pure. And this is why it's so prevalent in all of our world traditions. In Hebrew, water is symbolized by the Hebrew letter mem. Mem as a character or as a letter can represent the number of 13, but also can represent water as a force, as an element.
