In the 1970s, networks were not allowed to buy their prime time programming from someone else. And so this opened up a market because now all of a sudden ABC, CBS and NBC had to actually go out and buy theirprime time shows. That's when a lot of the really great shows with more, you know, diverse, like black characters and gay characters and stuff came into TV Because you couldn't.
