Is It a Sound Wave?

The earthquake detection system alerts, no matter where you are. The single largest type of injury we see is broken legs and sprained ankles from people trying to run when the ground's shaking too hard. Most likely thing that could hurt you is things flying around your room. If it's a strong enough shaking to actually be bringing down your building, it is too strong to be running and you will be thrown to the ground.
