The Struggles of a Number Two Carrier at a Big Hub
Spirit became number two at DFW with incentives from the airport to ad service. It's mostly point-to-point service. They're not really connecting passengers in DFW, but it always fascinated me that they got larger than United, Delta and others at DFW. And you know, Ben, one other footnote to that that I've always found fascinating. Along came the A320 and new generation of 737s that could fly coast-to-coast. JetBlue was part of the killing of those hubs because it could go coast-to'-coast.
