The FTC Moves to Prohibit Meta From Monetizing Kids
Lux is still secure, but there's definitely an asterisk on that. The FTC aims to completely ban meta from monetizing kids saying it has quote, repeatedly violated privacy rules and needs further instruction. If Meta happens to buy up some cool new company, this privacy rule will now apply to them as well. No launching new or modified products or services without the independent assessor confirming that they are in compliance with privacy restrictions.
