Psychiatrists are put in charge of dispensing medication that has a direct impact on your physical body. Their practice is set up to help with your thought process, not mental illness. Mental illness only exists of symptoms, but no bodily disease process that causes those symptoms. If there were bodily disease processes that caused the symptoms, then neurology would have it if it were the brain, that was the malfunction.

Dr. Ruby earned his Ph.D. in 1995 at Florida State University. He is a retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 20 years of military service as a criminal, counterintelligence, and counterespionage special agent and investigative psychologist in many capacities across the globe. Following his military career, Dr. Ruby has been a psychologist and coach in private practice.
