The Importance of Community Ecology in Startups
I think that's the biggest predictor of startup failure. One of the best ways to do it is to invest in people who you have longstanding relationships with. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to distill that into core principles as a principle. But it tends to be around things like intellectual honesty. You can't delude yourself or your team about whether something is working.
