The Choice Between Love and Grief
In 2 Kings 4, a woman comes to Elisha that even asked for a son. And in a miracle, Elisha brings the boy back to life and returns him to his mother. We're presented with a gift or we're presented with an opportunity to enter into joy - but it could be more complicated than expected. The alternative is insulating ourselves in so many little layers of self-protection.
