How I Invested in Novel

In 1989 in graduate school I'm buying a company called Novel that I vaguely know has something to do with networking but I wasn't really sure what that was. My wife, L'appél has a plus job making I believe 10, 50 an hour while he's in graduate school full time. Now this was pre-internet day so you couldn't really track the stock like you could like look it up and get ongoing quotes. The only way I could find out whether I made money that day was there was a public television program. It's probably a stock that's heavily owned but I bought it.
