What Does Ezekiel's Vision Tell Us?

Ezekiel is a young priest when he sees the mobile throne of God meeting his brother by a canal in Babylon. He was taken out of his home nation into a foreign nation and placed as a prisoner. Ezekiel's vision, thunder, lightning, fire, crashing, throne of God, crazy figures all around. The glory of God coming. His every expectation is being redefined. But the question is why? Why is God showing up here? And what that tells me is that God is not confined by the limitations that you might be placing on him.
