In two thousand 16 the vatican issued a formal apology for centuries of demonizing and slandering her. Many traditions, like gnosticism, believe that she was not only the apostle of the apostles and a very trusted a disciple of jesus but that she was the beloved of JESUS. And to this day, there is a strong presence of mary magdalen in the south of france. There's so much mystery in weaving, but it's fascinating to me. I feel like i just have this mysticism inside my cells, inside my womb, which inspired me when i would come back and paint mary Magdalen.
