The Importance of Successful Resuscitating

If a patient is declared dead on the basis that circulation has ceased irreversibly and is then successfully resuscitated, the very basis for declaring death is invalidated. If I'm not actually dead, you're violating my autonomy because I said, don't do that. So I would argue that it probably violates the do not resuscitate order as well. But again, to me, it really seems like...the determination of death is being manipulated for this procedure.
