Introduction

The battle for Bakhmud is probably the one battle where Ukrainian forces face the greatest challenge. It's a punch bowl essentially, that Russian forces occupy the eastern heights around the city. And on top of that, the Ukrainian military does very well when they can conduct a mobile defense.
