Gardening the Galaxy
Gardening the Galaxy is a new take on space travel. Instead of disassembling itself for scrap at its singular destination, this one simply parks on some resource rich asteroid or moon in the destination system. It resupplies fuel and raw materials while building colonial gear and then gives everyone the option of staying on the ship for a future destination or remaining at this colony. This way a few thousand such Gardener ships might leave Earth in the next couple centuries and colonize the whole galaxy as we contemplate intergalactic colonization.
