The 2019 to 2021 Persian Gulf Crisis

In 2019, there was an intensification of hostilities between the US and Iran and their allies. One of my biggest fears is that as a dying empire, the US will do what many try to prove their standing in the world with unjustifiable military spending. I worry that we'll put ourselves in more situations or wars that we can't win by increasing our military footprint all while accelerating catabolic collapse. And when you get caught up in a war that you can't get yourself out of, the well-being of the people are sacrificed for winning it.
