The American Negro Academy: A Missing Opportunity

The American Negro Academy included numerous thinkers who put forth interesting and important ideas. After it met for the last time in 1928, about the best you could say about the academy was that it had been a missed opportunity. Two other leading black intellectuals of the 20th century were both involved with the ANA.
