The Four Boxes of Moral Warfare

Christianity puts at the very center of morality the only thing that's more passionate than sex, namely divine love. One of the reasons almost everybody has problems with sex morally is that sex is a matter of love. Thomas Aquinas says the only way to conquer a passion, an evil passion, is by a good passion. And that's the center of moral warfare. So there's obviously a horizontal connection there between the two boxes of moral warfare and the box of agape love. We must be able to choose to love or not to love. Love is the fundamental commandment. It must be under our power.
