Is There an Obligation to Live According to Reason?

Is there an obligation to live according to reason? I feel like at that point, there's something like redundant going on. We're wired by nature to follow our reason, but we're also bound to follow it. And when we perceive something as good, then we ought to do it. So virtue is going to be in keeping with obligation.
