Pain Education - How Do You Get People to Think Differently About Pain?

Pain is a small word, but it's got so much behind it. How do you go about explaining it in the first instance with people? Well, for instance, i might use the analogue of sight or vision when i'm trying to help somebody understand that pain is more complex than they might have thought. You can come to feel or experience pain as something different than you would expect based on all of these different factors that can influence your own perception.
