Pope francis has been enthusiastic about the rights of migrants, particularly people in distress and in a situation of refugees. There are quite a lot of conservatives, economic liberals, as we call them in the u k, who er are supportive of globalization in general but not necessarily soof migration. But there aren't many people around who believe ina totally open borders. Catholic social teaching argues that people should have the right to leave their own country.
