The Spikelets of a Spikelet
The spikelets and grasses of several genera consist of only four glooms. The first two are empty, the remaining two are flower bearingglooms. Some differentiate the flowering glooms from the empty ones by giving them different names. A type for the spikelet may be chosen: an argros s or denebra.
