Miami was not really a hotspot at that point in time, but so many great artists were traveling there and I never really knew what the draw was. The combination of a sound of the studio itself and the availability of being able to rent a house away you didn't have to think. Yes, she was a fine, profound songwriter. She opened up on a tour that David and I did for about two or three weeks. And she told us she was a hooker at one point, but her love of music was undeniable.
