Ukraine's Permanent Application in NATO

NATO officials don't know what President Biden and Chancellor Shultz actually think about this. And that's because, ultimately, the US bears the way to responsibility here. I mean, it does make you think, doesn't it, that like Turkish membership of the EU, Ukraine could have a permanent application in NATO that never actually is realized? Do we actually want that?
