How Google's AI Is Partnering With Governments to Address Climate Crisis
There's no conflict because these efforts are actually a great example of partnering between technology and governments. Google is looking into if we can do a better job in how traffic lights are scheduled, so that we can reduce the number of those events which contribute to carbon emission. We had 10 cities in pilot in 2022 from Rio to Bangladesh or Seattle, Budapest, Manchester,. all the cities in Israel and more. The potential of that, of course, in long term is to scale and have an impact in a significant way of reducing the carbon emission globally.
